Grandma saw this on my other Blog and had to make one for her Cat well the cat didn't like it but Sappy did! My Lates find is...

This is my Silver Reed SK 160 Mid gauge Knitting machine. I bought this new and never really used it. I first learned how to knit on a knitting machine. I even took my Mom to a knitting machine Camp. That is where My Mom taught me to knit by hand. Knitting with a machine is really fun and you can knit a sweater in a weekend instead of Months and Months by hand. The Mid gauge lets you knit on yarns that you would find in the local store. Not those tiny yarns. That is why it is so well loved by Machine knitters. This one is a really solid machine and will last for longer than I will live. But I have to many Machines and this one has to go...So its going on Ebay. Trying to find my spare room downstairs again! So I will be listing this Today or Sunday. So check out my store!

I finished it! Finally after one year I have knit myself a sweater! And it fits! Its from the Elizabeth Zimmerman workshop book and Dvd. I just love how it turned out. I'll put up more pictures on Raverly this week.

Ice...Ice...Ice

Ice storm 2009, This was our only transportation during the storm. Our Driveway was a skating ring.

What I've been doing? Well I started on the jacket and had some problems with the pockets so I had to take them off and resew them on. Then the electric went off and we had to keep two homes and a live bug business going in temps of 0 degrees. Not fun! We lost some bugs and had to make a trip yesterday to Tenn. to pick up some more bugs for our customers this week.

While the electric was off and I was so stressed out I just got out the thing I always do when I need to unwind, My crochet project. My new wave Afghan from 200 Ripple stitch book I only had two rows done when I first started this on Tuesday the day the Ice hit.

This was taken after a couple of days with no electric.

My other distraction...Kindle 1...I love this thing!

Snow Day or Ice Day! No Cricket's Day!

We Delivered our Crickets Yesterday so we could have a "No Cricket Day" today. Alex will have to hold down the fort today, I guess sometime today we will head over to the farm and Make sure everything is done, but I plan to sew all day. I'm sewing New look 6815. I'm making the same top that Lori V has made even coping her on using Moleskin fabric, I've never sewn this fabric before so we are in for an exciting day!

With every new year we all decide something we want to do or change for me its this...

* Exercise more, I have a exercise bike and I'm going to start using it!

* Cut out Micky D's when I'm out delivering Bugs.

* My only Projects this year is going to be Sewing and Mostly only for me. I'm know I'm so selfish. I switch to much in the year from knitting and crochet and sewing I don't get to much done.

* Get out in that Boat Barry bought a few years ago and go camping more. Not sure how that's going to work with all the Reptile shows we have booked this year.

* Take my Mom on a Cruise! Yes we are going on March 13 th 2009. The Crafty Chica Cruise 2009, I can't wait!

Well I decided to make some Christmas Items early and then I quit. So at least I got a couple of cute Afghan's to give to my niece and nephew. Now I turn to my Turbo Sewing machine to finish up the rest of my gifts. I do have to make a pair of socks on my Antique sock knitting machine. Which I need to be doing now and not on the computer. I'll post pictures of the finished socks when I get them done. I have until Monday. Here is a picture of my last hat I knitted using the Harry Potter book Pattern.

Barry made it to Australia and I sent my new cool Palm Phone with him and it doesn't work! That could be user problems. Bummer 10 days without my phone. So Me and Alex are holding down the fort.

I made this in 4 hours. My own pattern I copied from a purse I bought at a festival this summer. I think it turned out good. Also I used my own stash to make this and didn't purchase one thing! My new years resolution to use up my craft stash. Yea right!
